Every so often, I try out a new version of a program that I've used. This is the case of one software program that I just looked at from Parsons Technology. The program is called Bible Illustrator 3.0 Deluxe for Windows. I had an older version of this program. I though it might be nice to get a new and improved version.

First of all, Bible Illustrator isn't some kind of religious drawing program. It also isn't a Christian Clip art collection. Actually, Bible Illustrator is a program that provides stories, anecdotes and quotes for use in your faith journey. Whether you have to give a sermon, a speech or write a paper, there are a wide variety of topics to choose from.

The interface for Bible Illustrator is set up to look like index cards. You can flip from card to card or search for a particular topic. There are nine different sources in the program to get material from. The databases include Illustrations Unlimited, Phillip's Book Of Great Thoughts & Funny Sayings, The Quotable Spurgeon and Draper's Book Of Quotations for The Christian World.

There are now over 6,000 items gathered from the pages of Christianity Today and Leadership Journal in version 3. With all of the added material, there are over 40,000 illustrations that you can use.
