I keep on finding great artists on the Christian music. A while back I discovered Avalon. I got their CD A Maze Of Grace and was very pleased with it. I hoped that their next effort would be just as good. Having just had an opportunity to listen the new release In A Different Light, I think that Avalon is going as strong as ever.
Most of the songs on this CD have a good, strong backbeat. Most don't have the dance beat that the ones on Amaze Of Grace had. The exceptions are In Not Of and Let Your Love.
In Not Of is my favorite song on the CD. It starts out with a jazzy backbeat and goes into a steady dance beat. The song is about taking God's love out into the world and giving grace to others.
Let Your Love starts out with a techno beat. The singer wants God's love to take over her life. She wants God to save her from foolish pride and unchanging ways.
Other songs include First Love, I?m Speechless and Always Have, Always Will.
Each song on this CD has its basis either in Scripture or faith perspective. In Not Of has it's base in 1 John 4: 4-19. Hide My Soul was inspired by Psalm 27:5.
